Teruja Dikurniakan Anak, Tapi Dalam Masa Yang Sama Ibu Baru Seperti Che Puan Sarimah Juga Perlukan Sokongan Orang Sekeliling

Menurutnya, dalam menjadi seorang ibu baru setiap wanita memerlukan sokongan daripada orang sekeliling kerana ibu-ibu sepertinya mungkin Nampak kuat tapi masih belum biasa dengan perasaan sebegitu dalam menjalani pengalaman yang indah bergelar seorang ibu.

Our little princess Sofia is 7 weeks young today. That means it has been 49 days since mummy delivered her, and our lives have truly changed forever. Its amazing, it is a miracle and we just love her soo much ..beyond words…”

However…there is Something many first time mums dont talk about though- that overwhelming fear, anxiety and difficulty that comes with this new role..The first few days are filled with amazement and excitement and then once you get home…its the start of questions in your head like “OMG..what happens here on???…” What will my life become? Who am i? Am i still ME and can i Be Me? What if i cant do this? Am i trapped? How will the future be?

“All of these questions have entered my head in the last 49 days. Some mums i speak to say they have the exact feelings and some say they dont or have it even worse, everyones experience is different but what saddens me is many are afraid to share their feelings incase they are judged or seen as “weak”.”

“I dealt with the feeling of overwhelming change and fear by praying, breathing deeply, thinking of what i Have and am grateful for, comforted by the knowledge that this is a passing phase and that hormone changes DO affect our minds and emotions after having a baby.. Its just so many mums dont dare talk about it ….so just know this: you are not alone! .

“Our culture is very much a “You will be fine/ Just do it “culture rather than saying “What you feel is normal/i have felt the same/it will pass/what do you need? ? There definitely needs to be more empathy and support for mothers especially first timers . We may be strong -but we are not immune to feeling totally overwhelmed in this beautiful life experience.
